The project focuses on three cross-border clusters that have historically experienced fragility but also hold significant potential for peace and socio-economic development. These clusters are located within the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) region, spanning the border areas of Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somalia and Kenya, where they serve as important corridors for regional integration and cooperation. These countries share common socio-economic and cultural ties but also face challenges such as conflict, migration, climate change, and underdevelopment.

The Clusters include:
• The Karamoja Cluster, covering South Omo Zone in Ethiopia, Turkana in Kenya, Eastern Equatoria in South Sudan (Project scope excludes parts in Uganda).
DanChurchAid (DCA) is the implementing partner organization in the Karamoja Cluster.

• The Moyale-Moyale Cluster, situated along the Kenya–Ethiopia border encompassing woredas in Moyale-Ethiopia and Moyale Sub County in Kenya.
Life and Peace Institute (LPI) is the implementing partner organization in the Moyale-Moyale Cluster.

• The Mandera Triangle Cluster, linking Mandera in Kenya, Gedo region in Somalia, and Doolow-Liban Zone in Ethiopia.
Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is the implementing partner organization in the Mandera Triangle Cluster.
