Building Sustainable Livelihoods in Borderland Communities
PRBP promotes socio-economic development by addressing root causes of instability and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for borderland communities. The programme recognizes that arid and semi-arid lands covering 70% of the region's landmass and home to over 100 million people are essential drivers of regional growth rather than peripheral areas.

Building Sustainable Livelihoods in Borderland Communities
The economic recovery pillar focuses on shared natural resource management, recognizing that water, pasture, and grazing lands do not respect political boundaries.
Through improved governance of these resources, promotion of livestock marketing and cross-border trade, and building climate-resilient livelihoods, the programme addresses the environmental and economic challenges that borderland communities face.
